Toes

  • About Toes

Toes is the kind of dog that comes along once in a lifetime, and quite frankly, he has us all wrapped around his little paws. With his stunning black coat dusted with unique snowflake markings, he is a total head-turner, but his beauty is truly the least interesting thing about him. He is a sweet, hilarious, and deeply affectionate boy who brings a massive amount of personality into every room he enters.

What makes Toes truly exceptional is his profound intuition and happy temperament. He has passed his small dog, child, and cat tests with flying colours, proving himself to be a versatile and steady companion.

However, the most touching evidence of his character, which you can see in the video below, is his care around Ella. Ella has Marshall-Smith Syndrome and can be quite unbalanced, yet Toes seems to understand her needs instinctively. As you can see in his video, he walks with incredible care and patience alongside her, anchoring himself to her pace and acting with a level of maturity that is rare even for this breed, especially in a young dog like Toes. He knows exactly how to act to keep his friends safe, making him an absolute joy to walk.

Because Toes is very special to us, we are being selective about where he goes. We aren't just looking for a house; we are looking for a perfect fit family who will adore his goofy antics and cherish his sweet, protective soul as much as we do. He has given us so much joy, and now he is ready to give all that love back to a forever family.

If you think you can offer this very special boy the world-class life he deserves, we would love to hear from you!

  • An Ideal Home

Toes recently underwent a specialist referral for a complicated fracture, and while his surgeon is absolutely delighted with his healing and has officially signed him off following his eight-week checkup X-rays, he still needs a bit of a helping hand. His ideal home will be one that understands he needs to remain on lead for the time being as he continues to build up the muscle and strength in his leg. We have been slowly and steadily increasing the length of his walks each week, and his new family will need to be committed to continuing this gradual strengthening process.

Throughout his entire recovery, Toes has been an absolute superstar; despite the restricted exercise, he has remained the happiest, most patient boy imaginable. We are so incredibly proud of how he has handled this challenge, and he deserves a home that recognizes what a good boy he is.

His perfect match will be a family that can offer him plenty of mental stimulation and sofa cuddles while he works back up to full strength. He is more than ready to enjoy retired life to the full!
