About Thor
Thor is currently our longest stayer, and quite honestly, we cannot understand why!
This handsome, goofy boy has been watching other dogs head off to their forever homes since April, yet he remains our most patient resident!
If you are looking for a certified cuddle bug who thrives around family life, Thor is absolutely the one you’ve been waiting for.
He is an absolute social butterfly who genuinely adores people, and he has already proven himself to be wonderful with children aged three and up. When he isn’t leaning his heavy head against you for a good scratch, Thor is a vibrant and playful soul. He has a massive passion for his toys, frequently entertaining us with his sudden bursts of zoomies and dramatic play-bows. He walks very well on his lead on solo and group walks, often leaning against your legs for an ear scratch!
Because he is incredibly treat-motivated, he is also a fantastic student who is always eager to learn new things for a tasty snack. His enthusiasm for the simple things in life is infectious, and he promises to keep his future family smiling every single day.
He just needs a family ready to guide him through this big new world at his own pace. After his time in our kennels, Thor is more than ready for a lifetime of sofa naps.

An Ideal Home
Thor would be thrilled to be the only pet in the household, allowing him to soak up every ounce of your attention and claim the best spot on the sofa all for himself. However, because he feels at ease with his own kind, he would also happily share his home with another Greyhound brother or sister.
Smaller animals and small dog breeds are currently just a bit too exciting for his liking. For this reason, he needs a home where his owners are happy to walk him in quieter areas or keep him on a lead while he continues learning his manners around other shapes and sizes of dogs (he’s already doing well!).
A secure garden or field where he can safely burst into his signature zoomies would be the absolute icing on the cake for this big, lovable boy.
Thor is not suitable to live with cats.
