If you are looking for a retired greyhound with a heart of gold, then Tara is the girl you have been waiting to meet!

Since arriving with us, she has been an absolute ray of sunshine and a total pleasure to have in our kennels. Tara has a wonderful personality that comes alive the second she sees her favourite toys. She is a true sweetheart who manages to be both incredibly gentle and playful all at once.

Tara is very social she is with her fellow hounds. She currently shares her kennel with her best friend Dexter, and the two of them are a dream together. She is a respectful and easy going companion who enjoys the company of others. Her social skills don't just stop at other greyhounds, though. Tara recently passed her small breed test with flying colours when she met our resident Corgi. She was respectful of her smaller size while still letting her playful side shine through, proving that she is a versatile girl who understands how to adjust her energy for different friends. She will soon be tested with cats.

Tara is a lovely girl on the lead and happily goes for solo or group walks. While she enjoys her quiet moments and walks, her eyes really light up when the toy box comes out. She is a massive fan of her toys and will happily show off her playful side to anyone willing to join in the fun.

Tara has already proven herself to be a superstar in her assessments with older children, showing a patient and kind nature that makes her a fantastic candidate for a family home. We are looking forward to introducing her to younger children soon, as her track record so far suggests she will handle it with her usual grace.

Whether she is lounging in her kennel with Dexter or playing in the grass with a squeaky toy, Tara is a 10/10 girl who is simply looking for a sofa to call her own. She is a total sweetheart who will bring so much love and laughter to her lucky new family.

Because she is such a social butterfly, she would be perfectly happy sharing her space with another canine companion like her pal Dexter, or perhaps even a respectful smaller dog given her fantastic manners during her recent Corgi assessment.

Born 08/10/20, Tara was known as Says You Showoff in her racing days at Yarmouth and in Ireland. She had 53 races, her last being on 26th March 2025.
