Meet Sandra, the retired greyhound who has quickly captured the heart of everyone at our kennels.

Sandra is an absolute dream of a dog and a complete joy to have around. She is the perfect blend of a sweet, gentle companion and a silly, light hearted character who will keep you smiling every single day.

What makes Sandra so incredibly special is her wonderful, easy going nature. She has absolutely sailed through all of her child, small breed, and cat tests, passing them all with flying colours. It can be rare to find a retired racer who is so naturally comfortable and gentle with everyone and everything she meets, making her a true good girl in every sense of the word.

In her kennel, Sandra is quiet, but show her a lead or a toy and her fun personality truly shines. She loves going for walks and has a hilarious playful streak. When she gets excited, she is prone to the most clumsy, funny zoomies that are guaranteed to brighten your day. And when the playtime is over, Sandra's favourite thing in the world is to lean in and soak up every single cuddle you are willing to give.

Watch out for her signature windmill tail wag - once she starts spinning it, we promise it’s impossible not to fall completely in love!

Because she is such an incredibly versatile and gentle girl, she could easily fit into a wide variety of households.

She would be just as happy living with children, cats (with proper introductions), or other small dogs, making her a perfect match for a bustling family or a peaceful home alike.

Her dream setup would include a secure garden or nearby enclosed field where she can safely let loose with her famous zoomies, followed by plenty of quiet cuddle time on the sofa.

Born 20/02/23, Sandra was known as Mustang Sandra in her racing days at Suffolk Downs and Towcester. She had 57 races, her last being on 12th December 2025.
