  • About Rosie

If you are looking for a sweet soul to brighten your home, look no further than our stunning Rosie Roo.

A retired racer with a striking white and blue coat, Roo is as elegant as she is sweet. While she may be a little bashful at first, don’t let that fool you - she is a total cuddle bug at heart. Having spent her life surrounded by a consistent circle of friends, new faces are a bit of a novelty to her, but a few ear scratches are all it takes to melt her reserve and reveal the loyal, cuddle loving girl underneath.

Roo is the ultimate shadow whose biggest ambition in life is simply to be near her favourite humans. She is gentle and has proven to be brilliant with children of all ages, including the very little ones. She also takes pride in her personal space; she absolutely loves her bed and keeps her kennel tidy, showing what a respectful houseguest she will hopefully be.

When it comes to exercise, Roo is a dream to walk once she gets past her adorable "excited wiggles" when the lead first comes out. She is still learning all about the new sights and sounds outside of our kennels but is doing brilliantly. She is searching for a quieter home environment where she can truly embrace the retired life and focus on her favourite hobbies: relaxation, running and ear scratches!

Regarding other furry friends, Roo has been wonderful with her fellow Greyhounds. She passed her initial cat test and will be undergoing further testing with cats and small dogs once she has settled in a bit more to ensure she finds her perfect match. We have already fallen head over heels for this beauty, and we know she will make a truly wonderful addition to the right family.

  • An Ideal Home

Roo is searching for a peaceful, quieter home where she can truly embrace the joys of retirement and settle into a relaxing routine.

Her perfect match would be a family looking for a devoted shadow who will happily give plenty of cuddles.

Because she is a sensitive soul who is used to a consistent circle of people, she would thrive best in an environment without too much hustle and bustle, allowing her the time and space to warm up to new faces at her own pace. However, sensible children or occasional visiting children to the home would be just fine as she gets on brilliantly with the mini humans!

We will be testing her with small dogs and cats again soon!
