Recently retired from the track, Hero has transitioned into retired life with the kind of confidence and charisma that lives up to his name. He is a super friendly, outgoing lad who truly adores people. Whether you are a long time friend or a brand new face, Hero is ready to be your best mate from the very first hello. He is the definition of a "people dog” and thrives on interaction, play, and being right in the middle of whatever is happening.

Hero is currently sharing his kennel with a female Greyhound, and they get along famously. He is a social, easy-going boy who enjoys the company of his own kind and would likely be a fantastic addition to a home with another dog to play with.

His fun-loving nature isn't just for other dogs, though; he recently passed his assessment with an eight year old child with flying colours. His confident and stable temperament makes him a wonderful candidate for a family environment where there is plenty of love and activity to keep him entertained. He is a playful soul who is always up for an adventure or a game in the garden.

While we already know he is great with people and other Greyhounds, we are committed to finding the perfect fit for his forever home. To that end, we will be testing him with small breeds and cats shortly to see just how versatile this big-hearted boy can be.

Hero, born 23/09/21, was formerly know as Innfield Hero in his racing days at Romford, Yarmouth, Henlow, Monmore and Central Park. He raced 113 times, his last being on 2nd March 2026.
