Meet Grizzly, the handsome retired Greyhound who has officially traded the fast lane for the life of a professional cuddler.

Since arriving at our kennels, Grizzly has become an absolute standout and a firm favourite with our volunteer team. It’s not hard to see why; he loves cuddles! Grizzly truly adores people and is always the first to greet you with a wagging tail.

When it comes to his daily adventures, Grizzly is a dream to have on the end of a lead. He walks beautifully and has been thoroughly enjoying the company of his fellow Greyhounds during his outings. He is already doing wonderfully with older children, showing off his gentle nature, and we will be assessing how he feels about joining a home with younger children very soon.

If you’re looking for a sweet boy who just wants a sofa to call his own and a family to love, Grizzly might just be the perfect match for you.

Grizzly is also beginning to learn that the world is full of animals of all shapes and sizes. He recently had an enthusiastic first introduction to our resident Corgi, and while he was excited to meet her, he stayed polite on the lead. He will be carrying on practicing his social skills with other breeds during his stay with us. We want to make sure he feels confident and calm before he heads off to a multi-breed household, and as part of his ongoing assessment, we will also be cat testing him very soon to see if he could share a home with a feline friend.

Grizzly, born 11/07/21, was formerly know as Greizmann in his racing days at Yarmouth, Suffolk Downs and in Ireland. He raced 55 times, his last being on 25th January 2026.
