Clover

  • About Clover

Clover is currently navigating the exciting transition from track to retirement. Because she is still very new to our kennels, everything is an adventure to her! She is currently in her settling-in phase, which means her personality is blooming more and more every single day.

Don't let the elegant Greyhound silhouette fool you - Clover is a total goofball! She has a love for toys and can often be found tossing them around.

Clover is an absolute dream in her kennel. She values her downtime and truly loves her bed, making her a great candidate for someone who appreciates a dog that knows how to relax when the playtime is over.

Clover has passed her child test with 8 year old Iris (will be tested with younger children shortly). She stood beautifully for a bath with Iris and enjoyed a fuss!

Because everything is so new, she can get quite excitable when she meets new friends. She recently met our resident Corgi, and while she was excited by the encounter, we are continuing to work on her introductions to other breeds and believe she will do well. Like many retired racers, she is still learning that dogs come in all shapes and sizes!

  • An Ideal Home

Clover would benefit from a patient owner who can continue her socialization as she learns that not every dog is a fellow Greyhound.

She would thrive with a family (possibly with children, given her success with Iris) who will include her in their daily activities and give her all the love she deserves.

Clover is not suitable to live with cats.
