This handsome, retired greyhound has hung up his race jacket and is now looking for a comfy sofa to call his own.

Alfie’s absolute favourite time of day is when he realizes it is time for a walk. He transforms into the happiest boy, doing his very best happy dance.

He absolutely loves his time outdoors, exploring the neighbourhood on his leash, and taking in all the new sights and sniffs. If you need a cheerful companion to help you start your day on the right foot, Alfie is your guy.

While Alfie has a heart of gold, he can be a little cautious when meeting new faces for the very first time. However, there is a very simple cheat code to winning his affection: snacks. Alfie is incredibly food-motivated and will do just about anything for a tasty treat. If you come armed with a pocket full of something delicious, you will find that his initial wariness melts away in record time, revealing a sweet, goofy personality.

Alfie is a very well behaved resident here at our kennels. He is a good boy in his kennel, settling down quietly and keeping his space clean, which bodes very well for his transition into a home environment.

When it comes to making human friends, Alfie has recently had a wonderful meeting with children and proved to be a gentle, polite gentleman once he warmed up to them.
